Cleland & Co.

Terms of service.

The terms for using this website, its public tools, and Cleland Client Reporting. Paid work starts with a separate written agreement.

Using the site and reporting tools

Who provides these services

Cleland & Co. is the public-facing name of Jeremy Cleland’s independent practice. These terms cover clelandco.com, its public website-readiness scanner, and the Cleland Client Reporting connection. By using these services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

Projects and paid work

Website content, a scan, an inquiry, or a reporting connection does not create a paid engagement. Scope, fees, payment dates, delivery, ownership of project work, and any support obligations belong in a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms for a specific project, the project agreement controls.

Acceptable use

Use the services lawfully and only for sites, accounts, and data you are authorized to access. Do not attempt to bypass access controls or rate limits, disrupt the service, upload malicious material, impersonate someone, or access another client’s information. Submit public URLs to the scanner only when you have authority to request the scan. Do not include credentials or confidential information in a URL or inquiry.

Cleland Client Reporting and Google connections

Cleland Client Reporting retrieves authorized Google Analytics and Search Console data to prepare website performance reports. The connection requests read-only access; it does not authorize changes to your Google settings, website, advertising, or billing. Google permissions may cover more than one property available to the connected account. Reporting is limited to the properties agreed for the engagement.

You must have authority to connect the account and permit the reporting work. You retain control of that authorization and can revoke it through Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized retrieval but does not automatically delete reports already produced. Contact us to request deletion of retained reporting data. Handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Notice.

Reports, scans, and recommendations

Scans and reports describe the data available at the time of retrieval. Tracking configuration, consent choices, filtering, processing delays, attribution rules, and third-party availability can affect results. A readiness score is a technical checklist, not a certification. Traffic and search metrics do not establish sales, revenue, or the cause of a change. We do not guarantee rankings, visibility in AI answers, leads, revenue, or uninterrupted access to third-party services.

Review recommendations before acting on them. Public content and automated outputs are general information, not legal, medical, tax, or financial advice.

Your materials and our content

You retain your rights in the materials and account data you provide. You permit us to process them only as needed to provide the services you request and as described in the applicable agreement and Privacy Notice. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions.

Cleland & Co. retains rights in its original website content, branding, and tools. You may read, link to, and share public pages with attribution. You may use reports supplied to you for your business purposes, subject to your project agreement. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and licenses.

Availability and responsibility

The public website and free tools are provided as available, without a promise that they will be error-free or fit every purpose. We may change or suspend them to maintain the service, address misuse, or meet legal requirements. Google and other providers operate under their own terms and availability policies.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cleland & Co. is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the public website or free tools. Nothing in these terms excludes a responsibility or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Responsibility for paid work is addressed in the written project agreement.

Changes and questions

We will update the date on this page when these terms change. Changes apply prospectively and do not rewrite an existing signed project agreement. Material changes to authorized data use require notice and any consent required by applicable law or platform rules.
